Wi-Fi Smart Locks price guide
Prices as listed on this page, in rupees. The bands count the 26 products that are in stock with a listed price; the other 75 are out of stock or priced on request.
How to choose
-
Start with the door
Main doors, gates, shutters and lockers need different locks. Compact fingerprint locks suit gates, shutters and lockers; full digital locks suit main doors. Measure your door thickness and compare it with the range on the product page.
-
Choose how you want to unlock
Models list fingerprint, PIN code, RFID card, smartphone and a mechanical key. Pick at least two ways in, and keep the mechanical key or emergency power option so a flat battery never locks you out.
-
Decide how connected you want it
Many locks here, including Yale keypad locks, are listed as standalone: PIN and card entry on the lock, with no network to maintain. For app and automation access we recommend an open stack (the Smartify Core LAN gateway is ₹8,100); Yale modules add remote locking to a compatible Yale lock. Wi-Fi-only locks give app access with no gateway, but usually only inside their own app and with a Wi-Fi dependency at the door.
-
Plan the installation
A digital lock replaces or sits alongside your current lock and is fitted to the door, so installation depends on the door and lock type. Ask us for fitting in your city and we will confirm what your door needs.
Smart Locks: common questions
How much does a smart lock cost in India?
Locks on this page start at ₹2,599. Compact fingerprint locks and Yale modules cost the least; full main-door locks cost more, and premium and biometric locks cost the most. The price guide above shows what each band buys.
Should I choose a standalone, open-stack or Wi-Fi-only smart lock?
A standalone keypad lock, such as the Yale range, needs no network and is the simplest. If you want the lock in your smart-home automations, we recommend an open-stack lock that works with a gateway (the Smartify Core LAN gateway is ₹8,100). A Wi-Fi-only lock gives app access with no gateway, but is usually tied to one brand's app and depends on your Wi-Fi reaching the door.
What happens if the battery dies or there is a power cut?
Most digital locks run on their own batteries, so a power cut does not stop them. Models list a low-battery alarm and a way in when the batteries are flat, such as a mechanical key, an emergency power point or a jumpstart. For example, Yale YDME70 lists a manual key override and low battery and emergency power features.
Which unlock method should I choose: fingerprint, PIN, card or app?
Fingerprint is the quickest for family, PIN codes suit visitors and domestic help, and cards work for those who prefer a card. App unlock suits remote access and sharing. Many models offer several; see the unlock methods listed on each product page.
What are the Yale modules and do I need one?
The Yale modules (YRM20, RC100 and YRD ZWAVE IN) are accessories, not locks. They connect a compatible Yale lock for remote locking or to a Yale alarm system. If you do not have a compatible Yale lock, buy a complete lock instead.
Can a smart lock be fitted to my existing door?
Usually yes, but it depends on the door material, thickness and the lock type. Check the door thickness range on the product page before you order, and ask our team about fitting in your city.
About smart locks.
Smart locks on this page start at ₹2,599, but the lowest prices are for compact fingerprint locks and modules rather than full door locks. Yale touchpad locks list PIN and card entry, a low-battery alarm and emergency power backup (for example the Yale YDR3110 at ₹22,999), and Yale modules add remote locking to a compatible Yale lock.
For a connected home we recommend a lock on an open stack, such as the Zigbee Aqara Smart Door Lock N100 listed below, so it can join your gateway. Wi-Fi-only locks are listed lower and labelled "Wi-Fi only, no hub": they give app access with no gateway, but only inside their own app.
