How to choose

Start with an open stack
We recommend an open stack (Zigbee, Z-Wave or Matter): devices from different brands share one gateway (the Smartify Core LAN gateway is ₹8,100), so you can mix brands and add rooms without another app. The trade-off is that gateway and a little more setup. Smartify Layer Shutter and TAC SH, and the Zigbee roller-shade controller listed here, then take part in scenes with your lights and sensors.

Know what a Wi-Fi-only controller costs you
Wi-Fi-only products, which this page labels "Wi-Fi only, no hub", connect straight to your router, so there is no gateway to buy and setup is quick. The trade-offs are that they usually work only inside that brand's app and each one adds load to your Wi-Fi. An example is the SmartLife Modular Wi-Fi Touch Curtain Switch, which puts touch control in the same plate as your lights.

Check your motor first
Most controllers here switch an AC curtain or shutter motor. Smartify Layer Shutter is for AC motor loads only, up to 500W, and is not suitable for DC motors. Match the controller to the motor type printed on your motor.

What is the price of a curtain motor in India?
The products on this page are curtain controllers, not motors. Controllers start at ₹2,500. The cost of the motor and track depends on curtain length, weight and brand, so ask our team for a recommendation if you need both.
Does a smart curtain controller need a hub?
Zigbee and Z-Wave controllers, including Smartify Layer Shutter and TAC SH, need a gateway (the Smartify Core LAN gateway is ₹8,100), which we recommend because it lets curtains, lights and sensors work together across brands. Wi-Fi-only controllers, such as the SmartLife Modular Wi-Fi Touch Curtain Switch, work through your router with no hub, but only inside their own app.
Can I automate my existing curtains?
If your curtains already run on a motor, yes: a controller adds app, voice and schedule control. If they are pulled by hand, you need a motorised track or rod first, then a controller. Ask our team if you are not sure which you have.
Can it control blinds and roller shutters as well as curtains?
Yes, with the right module. Smartify's Layer Shutter is described for motorised blinds, curtains and roller shutters, and the roller-shade controllers on this page are made for blinds. Check that the module matches your motor type and power rating.
Can my curtains open on a schedule or with a voice command?
