A motor can only travel reliably if the wheel remains correctly engaged with a compatible rail throughout its route.

Plan paired curtains and charging access

For curtains that meet in the middle, plan a driver for each moving side and configure their movement together where supported. Aqara specifies a 6000 mAh rechargeable battery and USB-C charging. Actual intervals between charges vary with travel distance, load and friction. Keep charging access practical behind the fabric. After mounting, complete travel calibration and test several full open-and-close cycles rather than judging the installation from a single movement.

Can I fit the Track Version to a curtain rod?

This listing is specifically for the Track Version, intended for supported U-rails and I-rails. Do not order it for a rod based only on appearance. The Rod Version is a different hardware selection.

Does a 12 kg rating guarantee it will move my curtains?

No. The stated maximum load is only one condition. Track fit, gliders and friction matter too. A lighter curtain on an incompatible or sticking track can still be unsuitable for this installation.

Is it a native Matter device?
