Yale YDAL Sliding Door

Yale YDAL Sliding Door

A digital access option for an aluminium sliding leaf. The YDAL sliding-door variant places fingerprint, code and card credentials in a narrow body designed for an appropriate profile. It is relevant to a sliding opening where the lockcase and receiving frame must work with lateral door movement. A mechanical key provides another access method, while black and silver finishes can be reviewed against the profile finish.

Everyday access

Supported access methods: fingerprint; PIN; RFID; mechanical key. Choose the methods that fit the people using this doorway, then demonstrate them during installation. Digital credentials are most useful when residents understand both everyday operation and the backup procedure for their particular lock.

Key features and specifications

• Door thickness: 25–65 mm
• Backset: 35 mm
• Battery: 4 × AA alkaline
• Body dimensions: 39 × 310 × 23 mm, front and main
• Finish: Black; Silver

Compatibility and installation

The sliding model must be matched to the actual profile, receiving strike and lockcase preparation. It is not interchangeable with the YDAL opening-door version. Yale lists this in its non-connected range; no app or Wi-Fi connection is promised.

For a replacement project, send photographs of both door faces, the door edge and the frame. Include the thickness, current lock model and the access methods your household wants. These details help distinguish a suitable replacement from a door that needs preparation work.

Set up for the household

During commissioning, register the people who need access and test each intended credential at the door. Keep a record of the supplied model and the procedure for changing access, so a future household change does not require guessing at the controls.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit my existing door?

A model name and door thickness are not enough to confirm fit. The installer also needs to check the mounting template, available clearances, strike position and the condition of the door and frame. Complete that assessment before modifying the door.

What should be confirmed before ordering?

Confirm the exact Indian-market model, finish, package contents and installation scope. Any required connectivity hardware or optional accessories should be identified in the quotation. Share your preferred access methods so the supplied configuration can be checked against them.
