Wi-Fi Door/Window Sensors price guide
Prices as listed on this page, in rupees. The bands count the 3 products that are in stock with a listed price; the other 11 are out of stock or priced on request.
How to choose
-
Start with an open stack
We recommend an open stack (Zigbee, Z-Wave or Matter): devices from different brands share one gateway (the Smartify Core LAN gateway is ₹8,100), so you can mix brands and add rooms without another app. The trade-off is that gateway and a little more setup. Door sensors here use Zigbee or Z-Wave, and the sensor and gateway must speak the same protocol. Smartify's Aware Contact is Zigbee.
-
Know what a Wi-Fi-only sensor costs you
Wi-Fi-only products, which this page labels "Wi-Fi only, no hub", connect straight to your router, so there is no gateway to buy and setup is quick. The trade-offs are that they usually work only inside that brand's app and each one adds load to your Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi-only door sensor we list, the Qubo Smart Door / Window Sensor, works only with the Qubo Smart Indoor Camera.
-
Decide what you are protecting
Aware Contact is made for doors, windows and cabinets. For a safe, a window you want to monitor for tampering or anything that should stay still, the Aware Vibration sensor detects tampering and movement instead of opening.
-
Plan the fitting
Aware Contact has two parts, a sensor and a magnet, and mounts on the surface with adhesive or screws, so no wiring is needed. Fit the sensor on the frame and the magnet on the moving door or window so the two parts meet when it closes.
Door/Window Sensors: common questions
What is the price of a door sensor in India?
Door and window sensors on this page start at ₹2,300. Smartify's Zigbee Aware Contact (₹3,900) is one of the options. Some models are out of stock or priced on request and are shown on the page without a price.
Is there a Wi-Fi door sensor that works without a hub?
A Wi-Fi-only sensor needs no hub, but the one we list, the Qubo Smart Door / Window Sensor, works only with the Qubo Smart Indoor Camera and is tied to Qubo's app. Most door sensors use Zigbee or Z-Wave and need a gateway, which is the route we recommend: one gateway (the Smartify Core LAN gateway is ₹8,100) serves every sensor, lock and switch, whatever the brand.
Can a door sensor send an alert to my phone when a door opens?
Yes. When a door or window opens, the sensor tells the gateway, and your app can send a notification or start an automation such as turning a light on. Which apps and assistants are supported depends on the sensor and gateway you pair it with; check the product page.
How long does the battery last and can I replace it?
Aware Contact uses a replaceable CR2032 battery and warns you when it is low. Check the product page for the battery type of other sensors.
Should I use a door sensor or a vibration sensor?
A door and window sensor reports opening and closing. A vibration sensor reports that something was moved or tampered with, even if nothing opened, which suits safes, cabinets and windows. Smartify sells both, and many homes use them together.
About door/window sensors.
A door and window sensor tells your phone or your automation system when a door, window, cabinet or wardrobe opens or closes. Prices on this page start at ₹2,300.
We recommend an open-stack Zigbee sensor such as Smartify's Aware Contact (₹3,900), a small sensor on a replaceable CR2032 battery with a low-battery alarm. Open-stack sensors pair with a gateway; a Wi-Fi-only sensor needs none, but is tied to its own app and is listed lower and labelled on this page.
