SONOFF SNZB-03P Motion Sensor
SONOFF SNZB-03P is a Zigbee PIR motion sensor for indoor movement-triggered automations. It can send motion events to a compatible controller, which then operates connected lights or other devices according to your rules. Built-in light sensing can help supported integrations distinguish a bright room from one that needs lighting.
What it does
- The published detection envelope is approximately 6 m with a 110° angle; actual detection depends on placement and the room.
- The magnetic base can be positioned on a metal surface, attached with adhesive or secured with screws. Desktop placement is also supported.
- A replaceable CR2477 battery powers the sensor; no mains wiring runs to the detector itself.
- Motion-triggered scenes, notifications and linked camera/alarm actions require compatible gateway functions and separately configured devices.

Where it fits
A corridor, entrance or stair landing is a practical application: movement can bring on the required light without leaving the entire route lit all evening. For a bathroom or study, choose a generous timeout because someone may remain still for a while. Walk-test both the near and far edges of the desired detection area and check whether movement in neighbouring spaces causes unwanted events.
Setup and compatibility
Use a compatible Zigbee gateway. SONOFF lists its bridges, NSPanel Pro and selected third-party hubs; USB coordinators need a separately configured automation system. In eWeLink, put the sensor into pairing mode by holding its button for five seconds. Check radio communication after moving it to the final installation point. Light sensing and event timing should be verified in the chosen integration.
Important details
PIR motion is not the same as radar presence detection: a person who sits quietly may stop generating motion events. Treat manufacturer battery-life figures as estimates affected by use and settings. Indoor installation and the specified environmental limits apply.
