Overview
Z-Wave Plus, in practical terms.
Z-Wave Plus is not a separate protocol — it is a certification tier of Z-Wave with better radios. In practice it means roughly 50% more range per hop, longer battery life, and more bandwidth than classic Z-Wave, on the same 865–867 MHz Indian band. It is backward compatible, so Z-Wave Plus devices join an existing Z-Wave network and older devices keep working.
If you are buying Z-Wave in India today, you are almost certainly buying Z-Wave Plus — the older tier is largely out of production. The reason this page exists separately is that product listings still label devices both ways, and buyers reasonably wonder whether they are compatible. They are. Everything on the Z-Wave page applies here too, including the frequency warning about imported hardware.
