WiiM Ultra

A hub for an existing audio system

WiiM Ultra is a network streamer and preamplifier for an external amplifier, receiver or powered speakers. It does not drive passive speakers directly. Its analogue and digital outputs give you several ways to connect existing equipment, making it a useful choice when you want new streaming functions while keeping a familiar sound system.

Bring television and records into the system

HDMI ARC accepts audio from a compatible television, while optical and line inputs support other sources. The dedicated phono input supports MM and MC cartridges with the appropriate setting. Check cartridge requirements and the turntable grounding arrangement before connecting it. HDMI is an audio-return connection, not a video-switching input; confirm the television’s output settings and supported formats.

Choose how you listen

A 3.5-inch touchscreen and volume knob provide direct control. The front headphone output offers another listening option, and a separate output supports a powered subwoofer. RoomFit room correction and equalisation help tune the configured system. Start at a low listening level and choose fixed or variable output deliberately so volume control remains predictable.

Streaming and setup

Configure the device using the WiiM Home app and a reliable network connection. Supported services include Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, with Google Cast and DLNA providing other routes. Service subscriptions and regional availability vary. AirPlay 2 is not supported, so an Apple device must use another supported playback method. USB supports media storage and audio output to a compatible DAC; it is not a USB audio input for a computer.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wire passive speakers straight to Ultra?

No. Use an external amplifier, or connect to powered speakers. Choose Amp Pro or Amp Ultra if you need speaker amplification in the same device.

Can I connect a laptop by USB for sound?

Not as a USB audio input. Use a supported network, Bluetooth or other suitable audio connection instead.
