Sonos Port

Sonos Port

Keep the stereo you enjoy

Sonos Port adds network music playback to an existing amplifier, stereo receiver or suitable powered audio system. It lets familiar equipment take part in a wider Sonos home, with everyday playback managed in the Sonos app. AirPlay 2 offers another route from compatible Apple devices without replacing the speakers already installed.

Connect at line level

Use the analogue RCA output with a suitable input on your existing equipment, or use the coaxial digital output with a compatible receiver or DAC. Port does not have speaker-level outputs and cannot drive passive speakers directly. It also has no HDMI ARC television connection. A stereo RCA input can bring a compatible external music source into the system; turntables without a built-in phono stage require a separate phono preamplifier.

Make daily operation simpler

A 12 V trigger can wake an amplifier that provides a compatible trigger input, reducing the number of manual steps needed before playback. This depends on the receiving equipment; the trigger is not a universal mains switch. Connect using supported Wi-Fi or either Ethernet socket and plan reliable network coverage around the equipment cabinet. Quote the connections, cabling and independently controlled rooms together so the final setup matches how the household listens.
