A small relay with Matter integration

MINIR4M is a single-channel Wi-Fi switch module with Matter support. It can bring a suitable conventional circuit into compatible platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa or SmartThings. The intended platform still needs its supported Matter controller and network configuration. This is Matter over Wi-Fi, not a Thread device, so a Thread border router is not the radio connection used by this module.

Keep physical control in the room

The external switch input supports suitable momentary, latching and two-way switch arrangements. That makes it useful when the goal is to retain an existing faceplate while adding routines through the chosen system. SONOFF also provides eWeLink setup. Available settings and automation features can differ between eWeLink and Matter platforms, so confirm the functions that matter to the project before commissioning.

A neutral-powered installation

MINIR4M requires neutral and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Its compact dimensions help with retrofits, but space for safe terminations and heat management still needs to be checked. The manufacturer specifies upstream 10 A MCB or RCBO protection. A qualified electrician should assess the connected load, including driver or motor inrush, and follow the wiring diagram. Never treat switch-input terminals as general-purpose mains terminals.
