SmartNode Door Controller SD.1D.1

The SD.1D.1 is a door-lock controller for compatible electromagnetic and digital-lock installations. It controls the lock interface; it is not a replacement for the door’s lock body, access hardware or required power arrangements.

What it does

The product page describes operation with NO/NC-based locks, while the manual provides separate connection diagrams for EM and digital locks. Smartphone or web operation can be combined with a traditional or capacitive switch, giving the installation more than one control method.

A configurable timer supports automatic relocking, and preset schedules are documented as able to run without an internet connection. That offline scheduling statement should not be read as a promise that remote app access or voice operation works when the network is unavailable.

Planning your installation

For a private office, one possible arrangement is a local release control combined with authorised remote operation. The right design depends on the door, who needs access and how people must exit. Decide who will administer the app, what the relock interval should be and what should happen after a supply or network interruption.

Share the lock model, its power supply, existing release button and a wiring diagram with the installer. Ask for the required contact behaviour and supported control voltage to be confirmed in writing. Commission normal opening, relocking, physical release and power-failure behaviour before relying on the completed installation.

Compatibility and limitations

The manufacturer material does not establish a universal lock-output current rating. Do not treat the controller’s mains input as the supply requirement for the connected lock. Emergency exit, fire-system integration and any mechanical override must remain appropriate to the door installation; app control is not a substitute for those provisions.
