SmartNode DALI Touch Module
The DTM.1 is the interface behind a compatible Smart Node DALI touch panel. It receives power from the DALI line and turns assigned touch actions into commands for the lighting system. The module and the visible panel are separate components to specify together.
What it does
Assignments can target a stored scene, a group, an individual light or a broadcast command. The configuration guide uses a Touch IR Remote to make those assignments. Long-press operation supports dimming or tuning, depending on the chosen function and connected control gear.
The key distinction is that dimming and tuning are alternative assignments for the same switch: the manual says they do not operate simultaneously on that switch. Decide which adjustment matters most at each position before labelling the finished panel.

Planning your installation
A room could have one button for general lighting, another for a reading group and another for an evening scene. This is a suggested layout, not a promised factory configuration. Keep the most frequent actions easy to find, especially where guests or family members will use the panel without training.
Confirm the panel finish, number of touch zones and whether the configuration remote is included. Include this module’s current demand in the DALI bus calculation. The electrician should reserve suitable box space and keep both the bus wiring and panel connector accessible for future servicing.
Compatibility and limitations
This is a DALI control interface, not a mains relay or LED driver. The model-specific datasheet identifies DALI-line power; generic webpage text about an external power supply should not be treated as a separate mains-input specification for DTM.1. Compatible control gear is required for dimming or tuning.
