SmartNode DALI Flush Mount Controller
The SD.DGF6401.2 places a DALI controller inside a suitable switchboard or enclosure. It can configure individual drivers and combine them into groups, allowing the lighting layout to be commissioned around the room rather than around a single on/off circuit.
What it does
The Smart Node mobile and web applications support remote commissioning, group assignment and scene setup. Compatible lighting can provide brightness, colour-temperature or RGBW control. The controller works with the manufacturer’s 4S(DALI) and 8S(DALI) touch interfaces.
On the touch interface, a short press can switch or toggle a configured light, while a long press adjusts individual or grouped dimming. State and dimming feedback helps make wall control more informative than a simple momentary scene button.

Planning your installation
A bedroom scheme could use separate groups for bedside lighting, ceiling lights and decorative lighting. Start with the actions people need at the wall, then work backwards to the driver types and group assignments. Colour control requires an appropriate fixture and driver; choosing the controller does not change the LEDs already installed.
Before quoting, provide the switchboard’s usable depth, available wiring and proposed touch panel. Allow space for cable bends and safe termination as well as the electronics. Commission and test each fixture before closing the board, particularly at the lowest dimming level you intend to use.
Compatibility and limitations
The manufacturer’s description states that this variant is supplied without a DALI power supply. Its technical table also contains a DALI-supply figure, so the exact external bus-power arrangement must be checked for the supplied revision. The controller must be installed by a qualified electrician, with power isolated.
