Control two loads independently

Shelly 2PM Gen4 combines two switched outputs and individual power measurement in a compact wall-box module. It suits installations where two nearby lighting circuits need separate routines and energy visibility. Its total current limit still applies when both outputs are running, so the two channels must be assessed together rather than treated as two independent maximum-load supplies.

A different role for window coverings

In cover mode, the two outputs can operate the directions of a compatible motorised blind, shutter or awning. This is an alternative to two independent switching channels. Shelly specifies motors with correctly set electronic or mechanical limit switches. Check motor voltage, wiring, calibration and integration support before planning position or Venetian-blind tilt control.

Connect and commission deliberately

Matter is the default profile, with a selectable Zigbee profile for compatible Zigbee systems. The device also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Do not assume Matter and Zigbee operate simultaneously or that every ecosystem exposes identical cover and metering functions. AC wiring needs neutral, an appropriate protective device and a qualified electrician. Allow room for the module and conductors, and verify driver inrush or motor load requirements; an RC snubber may be required for inductive loads.

Frequently asked questions

Can both channels carry 10 A together?

No. The published AC limit is 10 A per channel with a 16 A total. Installation and load type can impose additional limits.

Is this a dimmer?

No. Use it for on/off circuits or a compatible cover motor in the appropriate mode, not for directly dimming lighting.
