The Qubo Video Doorbell Pro is a powered entrance camera for checking visitors and speaking to them from the Qubo app. Its 2K camera and 140-degree field of view help you see the area around the entrance. A video doorbell is useful when the door is on another floor, when you are occupied elsewhere in the home, or when someone arrives while you are away. Pro combines the visitor image with two-way speech, helping you decide whether to answer in person or give a delivery instruction. Remote viewing depends on power, a working internet connection and the app being configured correctly.

The 140-degree field of view provides a wider view than looking straight ahead through a narrow opening. The 2K image gives more detail for checking a visitor, while night vision supports use after dark. Mounting position still matters: a camera aimed into strong backlight or partly blocked by a grill may not give the view you expect. Test a standing visitor and the surrounding area before fixing the final position.

Choose how visitor footage is stored

Local microSD recording and paid cloud storage suit different preferences. A supported card gives the doorbell a local recording destination; cloud storage adds a separate service with its own subscription terms. Decide whether you need occasional event review or a more extensive recording history, then check the selected settings and storage plan. Card capacity alone does not establish how many days of footage will be retained.

Plan the doorbell and lock together

Video Doorbell Pro can act as a gateway for supported Qubo smart locks. That is useful when you want to check a visitor before using compatible remote-unlock functionality. Confirm the exact lock and its location before treating the two devices as a system. The doorbell itself does not turn an ordinary mechanical lock into a remotely operated lock, and the Home Tab shown in the setup video is a separate device.

Compatibility and installation

Plan power and Wi-Fi coverage at the mounting position before installation. Qubo specifies a 5 V / 2 A supply; do not connect mains voltage directly to the device. The enclosure carries an IP66 rating. Confirm the wiring arrangement and included power accessories for the supplied package. Compatible Qubo lock integration depends on the lock model. Frequently asked questions

Can it connect to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network?

Yes. The referenced Pro model supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Check signal quality at the actual entrance with the door closed; a strong signal beside the router does not prove coverage at the mounting point.

Do I have to pay for cloud recording?

Cloud storage is optional and paid. The product also supports local microSDXC storage, with the referenced model specifying cards up to 1 TB. Confirm the current plan’s features and purchase a suitable card separately if local storage is preferred.

Can I reuse the wires from my old doorbell?

Possibly, but the installer must verify the existing circuit and the required supply. The doorbell specifies 5 V / 2 A input. Existing mains or bell-transformer wiring must not be assumed to be directly compatible.

Will it unlock any smart lock?

No. The gateway function is for compatible Qubo locks and a supported configuration. Share the exact lock model with Smartify. Doorbell installation, lock pairing and any additional accessories should be scoped together.
