Product Description
Bring an existing device into your smart home
A useful door contact, sensor or control input does not have to be replaced just to join an automation. FIBARO Smart Implant adds a compact interface between suitable existing equipment and your controller, letting familiar hardware participate in scenes and remote monitoring.
What it does
- Two configurable inputs accept digital signals or analogue readings, allowing suitable contacts and sensors to report into the automation system.
- Two potential-free outputs can operate compatible low-current control inputs independently. They are signal interfaces, not mains appliance relays.
- A digital sensor connection supports external temperature sensors or a temperature-and-humidity sensor. This makes the module useful when the measurement point needs to sit away from the controller electronics.

Installation and compatibility
An installer should match the input mode to the connected equipment and check its electrical interface before wiring. Supply the module from suitable low-voltage DC power and keep its terminals protected inside an appropriate installation. The FIBARO instructions limit external sensor wiring to 3 m and specify DS18B20 or DHT22 for the sensor terminals. Pair it with a compatible Z-Wave hub after wiring and configuration.
Planning your automation
For an existing wired contact, a scene could report a door left open. For equipment with an approved low-current push-button input, an output can provide a controlled command; feedback should be planned separately so the app does not merely assume the equipment responded. Indian-frequency FIBARO variants are available. Smartify will confirm the exact FGBS-222 regional SKU against your controller when quoting. External probes, power supply and integration labour should be specified with the project.
