Compatibility and installation

Zigbee operation requires an Aqara hub and Aqara Home. Thread operation requires a suitable Matter controller and Thread border router. Advanced settings differ between these routes; do not assume every Aqara setting is exposed in a third-party app. Aqara quotes up to three years in Zigbee mode or two years in Thread mode under its laboratory conditions, rather than a guaranteed replacement interval.

Before mounting, check detection from the actual seats and working positions in the room. Test entry, stillness and departure, then adjust the automation delay to avoid abrupt lighting changes.
